MAJORS & AAA 10-RUN RULE

 o   The game is over when the winning team is ahead by 10 runs after four innings played by the trailing team. The game is officially over, the umpire must leave, however the Managers may decide to continue the game as long there isn't a game following.  The score does not increase.  Pitch count must be logged.

JUNIORS 10-RUN RULE: 10-run rule will apply after five (5) complete innings of play.

Majors Specific Rules: 

 o   There is only a time limit to the game if there is a game immediately following.

  In the event there is a game following, there will be no new inning started if the third out of the inning is recorded after 2 hours and 15 minutes from the first pitch of the game. 

 AAA Specific Rules: 

o   There will be no new inning started if the third out of the inning is recorded after 2 hours and 15 minutes from the time of the first pitch of the game, regardless of whether there is a game following. 

o   In addition to the 10-run rule for the AAA division, there is also a 5-run per half inning maximum for each team.  The 5 run maximum applies to all innings except the sixth inning.

 

Home Team Responsibilities at SFLL Fields:

Away Team Responsibilities at SFLL Fields:

HOME TEAM runs Snack Shacks

HOME TEAM has official scorekeeping duty

*When traveling to another league playing as AWAY TEAM - SFLL has official pitch count duty*

Inter-League Agreement supersedes local bylaws

AAA & Majors Mandatory Play: Every rostered player present at the start of a game will participate in each game for a minimum of six (6) defensive outs.  "Six (6) defensive outs" is defined as: A player enters the field in one of the nine defensive position when his/her team is on defense and occupies such position while six outs are made.

Pitch Count

13 -16  95 pitches per day

11 -12  85 pitches per day

 9-10  75 pitches per day

 7-8  50 pitches per day

Pitchers Little League Age 14 and under must adhere to the following rest requirements:

• If a player pitches 66 or more pitches in a day, four (4) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 51 - 65 pitches in a day, three (3) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 36 - 50 pitches in a day, two (2) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 21 - 35 pitches in a day, one (1) calendar days of rest must be observed.
• If a player pitches 1-20 pitches in a day, no (0) calendar day of rest is required.
